Windermere Weekly Parent Update
It was a great week at Windermere last week! We had so much to celebrate. Tuesday, we celebrated Ms. Maria and all that she does to make Windermere welcoming and inviting. We know how fortunate we are to have her here. Thank you, Ms. Maria, for all that you do every single day!
Last week, we also celebrated the Upper Arlington Civic Association’s Golden Apple recipient for Windermere. Mrs. Shannon Hemmelgarn, our amazing librarian, was awarded the GOLDEN APPLE. Congratulations! She definitely makes reading contagious! Thank you for your passion and the love you pour into our library.
Our front entry was given a make-over this week. Mrs. Brooke Braunstein graciously donated her time, talent and energy! Thank you for planting the beautiful flowers in our pots. We appreciate it very much.

Device Check-in Information:
The Personalized Learning page on our district website, www.uaschools.org/
personalizedlearning, has been updated to include a basic overview and dates for device check-in by grade levels.
2017-2018 Device Check-in - Elementary Schools
Grades K-1: Check-in for the devices for students in grades K-1 will be Thursday, May 3. Devices will be checked in and stay in the classroom for the remainder of the school year. Check-in must include the following: iPad, protective case, charging brick, lightning cable and carrying bag.
Grades 2-3: Check-in for the devices for students in grades 2-3 will be Thursday, May 10. Devices will be checked in and stay in the classroom for the remainder of the school year. Check-in must include the following: iPad, protective case, charging brick, lightning cable and carrying bag.
Grades 4-5: Check-in for the devices for students in grades 4-5 will be Thursday, May 17.. Devices will be checked in and stay in the classroom for the remainder of the school year. Check-in must include the following: laptop, charger and protective case.

Extended School Year (ESY) Peer Advocates:

Book Fair – Our Spring Book Fair is April 30th – May 4th. We’ll be open: Monday- Wednesday 11:05-12:15; 2:45-4:00 (No sales on Thursday due to author visit) and Friday- 11:05-12:15; 5:15-7:45 (during KidFest).
Staff Appreciation Week – Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7-11. Our wonderful PTO chairs Jenny Dingle and Megan Rule have planned a week filled with treats to spoil them. There will be a luncheon, a breakfast waffle bar, yoga, raffle baskets, sweets and more! Kids are also invited to make cards and signs for teachers and staff. Send them in any day that week.
PTO General Meeting - Please join us for our PTO General meeting on Tuesday, May 1st at 6:30 PM in the staff lounge.
KidFest - KidFest is May 4th from 5-8 PM! Discount tickets will be sold at school during lunch and after school April 23rd-25th with extended hours (until 6pm) on April 24th for our SACC families! Tickets will also be sold the night of the event. Hope to see you there!
